Snowpack Testing How-to Videos
MEC and the CAC have joined up to help you learn more about avalanche awareness. Leading experts have contributed articles and videos related to avalanche safety. Check out a good series of how-to videos with Cam Campbell, Public avalanche forecaster for the Canadian Avalanche Centre and Researcher for the University of Calgary's Applied Snow and Avalanche Research. In these videos he demonstrates how to assess snow stability using a compression test and a Rutschblock test.
